Winners have emerged from the 2021 Afro Hair Culture and Beauty Festival which took place recently at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja amidst cheers, pop and pageantry.
Evans Oaikhena grabbed the 500k mouth watering star prize with one months supply of Malta Guinness, gift packs from Lush Hair and Elsa’s Pro.
Faith Tonibor smiled home with the second position while the third position went to Anthonia Oyegue.
The first leg of the 2-day event featured hair style exhibition on runway, extreme hair competition, exhibition of latest hair care products and panel discussion on Afro Hair.
The Founder African Hair Summit and the Executive Director Photizo Life Foundation, Adanna Ifeoma Enwezor says the event seeks to celebrate African heritage, identity and businesses.
According to Enwezor, a recent research indicates that the hair care market in Africa is poised to grow by over $900m between 2020 – 2024.
She called on individuals to take advantage of the multiple opportunities within the beauty sector in Africa to create opportunities for themselves.
Enwezor expressed gratitude to participants and vendors for making the Friday event worth the while.
The event exposed stakeholders to best hair and skin care products.and their usage.
Also on ground to thrill audience was the 2021 winner of Big Brother Naija Reality TV show, WhiteMoney who electrified the hall with his new single.
The event also witnessed the presence of the Mamuzee Twins, Saskay, Prince and Micheal of bb9ja and others.
Also in attendance was the Registrar General of Corporate Affairs Commission, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Information and Culture and the Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Investment Promotion Council.
Top management staff of PAYSTACK, PepsiCo, 2 Sure, MTN Nigeria as well as veteran media and public relations personality, Hon. Ambassador Ginika, Linda Turner, Muhammad Suleiman and many more notable personalities also graced the event.
