Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has slammed the club’s players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, following the Red Devils’ Premier League 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday evening.
Ronaldo was unable to help Man United as they went 4-0 down by halftime and were booed off the pitch by their supporters at home.
Mohammed Salah scored his third goal in the second half as Paul Pogba was sent off following a tackle on Naby Keita.
Ferdinand summed Man United’s shocking first-half performance against Liverpool as “men against boys.”
“We are always gonna pose a threat because of the individuals we have…..but we are so easy to play through it’s unreal!”, Ferdinand wrote on Twitter.
“Embarrassing 1st half… men against boys!”
The result against Liverpool means Man United are now eight points adrift of leaders Chelsea in the Premier League table.
