Antoine Griezmann has officially been unveiled at Atletico Madrid after making a last-minute transfer from Barcelona on the last day of the transfer window. Barcelona’s decision to cut down the club’s expenditure triggered the move.

Griezmann is with the Madrid team on a season-long loan deal with an obligation to buy him next transfer summer for 40m. Atleti could seal the deal after Saul Niguez completed his loan move to Chelsea on an initial loan with the option to buy the Spaniard for 39m.
Griezmann is coming into the team with confidence following his achievement of equalling Michel Platini’s 41 goals scored for the French National team. The French striker should have no problem settling in the Madrid team. His combination with Luis Suarez will make Atletico Madrid a force in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
Griezmann joined Atletico Madrid from Real Sociedad in 2014. He scored 94 goals in 180 games for the Madrid team. He then joined Barcelona in 2019.
