Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, is ready to bring defender, Antonio Rudiger, back into the Blues’ first-team after constructive talks with the Germany international, according to the Daily Mail.
Rudiger has not made any appearance for Chelsea under Lampard so far this season.
The centre-back only made it into the substitute’s bench on three occasions for Chelsea.
He was certain to leave Chelsea in the transfer window, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham and AS Roma interested in his services.
However, Rudiger was keen to stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge, and Lampard is now happy to use him, with the 27-year-old now guaranteed to be at the club until January at least.
There has never been an issue between Lampard and Rudiger personally, and after discussions between the pair, the player will now be involved more for Chelsea in their subsequent games.
Rudiger was back on the bench as Chelsea drew 0-0 with Manchester United in the Premier League last weekend.
He could feature for Chelsea when they face Krasnodar in the Champions League on Wednesday.
